Sales Associate – Business Developer

Instrumental Group, an Elite HubSpot Partner agency, is on the lookout for a passionate and driven Sales Associate to support our talented agency team. Are you looking to launch a career in sales? The mission of the Sales Associate is to develop new opportunities, grow the current Instrumental client base, and build content/campaigns in support of business growth and development. You will play a critical role in Instrumental’s growth by focusing on prospecting into defined target accounts and harvesting new business with our current client base through upsell and cross-sell. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers through strategic outreach efforts. This position will prepare you for a future as an Executive Sales Representative.

Primary roles for this position:

  • Farming: supporting the service team in maximizing LTV for current client base
    • Upsell, cross-sale motion alongside team members
  • Hunting: develop new opportunities from existing database and target account list
    • ABM sales motion towards target accounts with target verticals
  • Business Development: resource development and outreach campaigns to convert leads
    • Sales sequences, email templates, blog articles, case studies
    • HubSpot product promotion and services promotion

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with experienced sales executives to identify potential customers and target industries
  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting activities (about 30-50 activities per day) through various outbound channels such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media platforms to prospect and engage leads
  • Manage a pipeline of self-sourced leads
  • Support and well existing customers
  • Develop content and campaigns that support sales efforts and improve performance
  • Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for your prospecting efforts

We’re looking for people who:

  • Are ambitious, driven, and self-motivated
  • Are hunters who have the ability to source their own leads
  • Are farmers who can support the services team in maximizing LTV for current client base
  • Communicate articulately both over the phone as well as email, LinkedIn, and Slack
  • Are comfortable making daily cold calls and spending part of your day on both the phone and email
  • Proactively source answers to questions and seek coaching for improvements
  • Have experience working in HubSpot or comparative CRM
  • Love working in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better
  • Want to maximize earnings through performance and on-target earnings

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in sales
  • Experience working in a CRM
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
